Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi to Officially Visit Bulgaria on Wednesday

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popsoi will pay an official visit to Sofia on Wednesday, September 9, at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Velislava Petrova, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova announced on Tuesday.

During the visit, Popsoi will hold talks with the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova. After the meeting, the two ministers will give a joint press conference.

The programme includes meetings of the Moldovan Foreign Minister with the President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova, the Chair of the National Assembly Mihaela Dotsova, Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov and the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy Petar Vitanov. Popsoi will also hold talks with the Chair of the Bulgaria-Moldova parliamentary Friendship Group" Galin Durev, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said.

The talks will focus on relations between Moldova and Bulgaria, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, as well as Bulgaria's support for the progress of the Republic of Moldova on its European path.

During the visit, Popsoi will also give an interview to the Bulgarian National Television.
